  I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Chief Auto Repair. I brought my Honda to this shop because the engine was cranking but would not start. After supposedly diagnosing my vehicle, I was told that all four cylinders had no compression and that I needed to replace the entire engine.<br><br>I specifically asked for the individual compression readings for each cylinder and was not provided with actual PSI numbers. I was still charged $120 for the diagnosis.<br><br>Because replacing an entire engine is an extremely expensive repair, I decided to get a second opinion from another repair shop rather than immediately accepting their diagnosis. The second shop diagnosed the vehicle and found that the crank-no-start problem was caused by a blown fuse. The vehicle did not need an engine replacement.<br><br>What makes this experience especially frustrating is that this is not the first time I have had issues bringing my vehicle here.   I brought my 2001 Camry to Chief because I needed a new exhaust manifold with a catalytic converter so I could pass NJ inspection. I told Oscar very clearly that my current aftermarket manifold had no cat and that I needed the correct part to pass. He first quoted me $650 for a new part and $125 for labor (a 30-minute job that I've done myself before at a rent-a-lift in Michigan). To save money on the part, I bought a used manifold on eBay and asked him if he could install it. He said "ok, but then I will charge $150 for labor since you bring your own part."<br><br>After he installed it, I asked, "So do you think it will pass inspection?" and he casually said, "I don't think so, the part you brought me had no catalytic converter." He knew from the beginning that I needed the cat in order to pass inspection, and he still installed a useless part just to "teach me a lesson" and collect $150.   good morning to every one.mr Nabeel never pay for check up charge, to find the problem on his car, his car have check engine with code po420 first time come him ask how much to change the cathalytic i give him the estimate. part# davico cat18121 with labor 650 and he declined the job. he come back 1 week later end he say he but the cat from ebay and i give him price for labor only 150 in hi agree part was in trunk i order to my tech to install. hi call over phone to check the brake light is on a

  oscar and his team are awesome! super professional, honest with their prices, and really helpful. i've needed their help twice now and both times they were ready to jump in and get me back on the road. definitely recommend if you're looking for a shop you can actually trust!
