My experience at this pediatric ER was very disappointing. The staff appeared disengaged and did not provide the level of care or attention I expected. It felt like my child's condition was not fully evaluated, and our concerns were brushed aside.<br><br>As a parent, this was extremely frustrating and concerning. When you bring your child to the ER, you expect professionalism, urgency, and genuine care--not to feel like you're being rushed through.<br><br>This experience did not meet those expectations, and I hope the facility takes steps to improve the quality of care they provide.

Urgent Concern About ER Experience at HMH Hackensack University Medical Center<br><br>We moved to the United States just 5 months ago, and our daughter was born here. Since we were still learning how the healthcare system works, I carefully researched and chose HMH Hackensack University Medical Center, Pediatric Center, Emergency Room, based on numerous positive reviews.<br><br>When our daughter was only 2 weeks old, we made the urgent decision to bring her to the ER because her unconjugated bilirubin level was above normal. Our request was very clear -- we needed a blood test to confirm whether treatment was necessary.<br><br>Unfortunately, our visit turned into a frustrating and deeply disappointing experience. We were seen by Dr. Avital Bauman, MD, who, instead of immediately focusing on our newborn's condition, spent a significant amount of time on unrelated "paperwork" -- questioning why we didn't yet have a pediatrician and calling social workers to explain the U.S. healthcare sy
