This place is the best. I went in with 2 young kids, excited about a birdhouse they built and the workers were so helpful in telling us how to hang it, they even took this plant hanger/bracket thing we purchased and drilled holes in it to make it work for our project. My son had a billion questions and they were so patient and kind with him. They made me a customer - I can't imagine shopping at Home Depot or Lowes anymore!

As someone who tries to support small businesses I find a few of the men working in this store rude. They appear annoyed they have to help you, dismiss any additional information you try to give them and then if they don't have what you need they reply "we're not going to have this". I'm not expecting a sorry we don't have it but maybe an unfortunately we don't have it? Supporting small businesses is about expecting a better customer experience than at the big box stores but they fail. Might want to have a refresher in proper treatment of customers.

The employees here are so wonderful! I am a bit late in leaving this review but their kindness has been on my mind all month! I stopped by a few weeks ago in need of a pretty random and out dated cord for a light I was using. They unearthed that very cord from their back office and refused to accept payment. Very very kind people.

Writing this before the blizzard of Feb 2026. Last night I posted on Nextdoor looking for a generator rental. Someone recommended Keough's. Within 30 seconds of that recommendation I reached out to them and they assured me that they could take care of my needs. When I showed up at the store the next morning, Ray and his team went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure I had everything I needed and was prepped for the storm. Being new to the area, they really made me feel like I was at home with their neighborly hospitality. They now have a customer for life and will forever be indebted to Keough's. These are the people you want to give your business to. Locally owned since 1972 (if I remember correctly) and genuinely looking to do right by others and serve the community.
