This place feels confused.. It calls itself an Izakaya but it's brightly lit. The vibe simply isn't there. The food is average.. sauces can be creamier and seasoning can be heavier. Menu items are pretty limited compared to the pocha down the block

I came to the US for the World Cup, and decided to stay for the food scene, a way to travel the world again but from one location<br>Having lived in Japan for a year, Japanese food quickly became my favorite one in the world<br>An izakaya specialty being to serve small plates, giving the opportunity to taste different food, it quickly became my favorite option when I looked for where to have dinner in Leonia, seeing it was named a Korean izakaya making me extra curious, especially knowing I also spent 3 months in Korea<br><br>When I entered, I was immediately warmly greeted by the staff<br>The place is big, with tables for 4 but also long ones for 8-10, making it ideal for gathering with friends (an izakaya actually is a mix between a tapas bar and a pub, so that's definitely a place of choice for group meetings), a bar area, and the lighting displays make it even warmer<br><br>They have a great selection of small plates: mentaiko potato salad, edamame, deep fried oyster, fried squid l
