  This is the worst neurologist. Do not waiste your time. He was late to my son's appointment by 45 minutes and we were the first appointment of the day. He then lectured my son who is a 7 year old for an hour. When we finally had all reports done from teachers and myself he took weeks to get me a formal diagnosis that I could use for my son's school to get him a 504 plan. I sent multiple messages through MyChart and even called the office and didn't hear back for weeks. It wasn't until I questioned his professionalism that he finally called me and sent me the formal diagnosis to use with my son's school. I tried to follow up with him when things were going bad at school for my son and he still wouldn't reply. I finally gave up and found a better doctor. I wish there was a way to leave 0 for him.

  Dr. Sousa has been my 18 yr old son's neurologist for 8 years and I cannot express enough the gratitude that I owe this man, both as a doctor and a human being. My son is high-functioning autistic with severe behavior issues and absolutely no one has helped him the way that Dr. Sousa has helped him. I think people tend to forget that doctors are also people with families and lives and no man can do it all, but yet Dr. Sousa somehow manages to find the time to balance it alone despite the demanding stress that I'm sure he's always under. He has saved my son and my sanity and for that I will always be eternally grateful to him. I owe him a world of gratitude. He is an amazing doctor, a stellar man and a wonderful human being! He is more than our doctor, he is family. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU, DR. SOUSA!

  I wish Google allowed a zero star review for that's exactly what this so called "MD" deserves. i couldn't be more disappointed with this "doctor". Long story but I waited for my daughter's Med Records and NEVER received. I went to his office 3 times and spoke with Sousa face to face after several emails and phone calls begging for the release of my daughter's records to take her to another Neuro and nothing. His explanation was "we're short staffed" Because of the insurance bureaucracies i had to, and this is totally ridiculous, lie for another neuro to see my daughter. No other Neuro would see my daughter without prior records and so i had to lie and tell the new doctor that my daughter's 2nd seizure was actually her 1st in order to be seen. In all seriousness, i think this guy may be abusing meds.
