  Seven years ago I left Parkway Toyota a five-star review and told everyone I knew to go there. I meant every word of it at the time. I'm editing that review now, because I can't leave it standing.<br><br>Over the years and several vehicles, I trusted this dealership completely and never once questioned their honesty. I believed that being a loyal, returning customer meant something -- that the respect went both ways. My most recent experience showed me it didn't. When it came down to it, the relationship I thought we had didn't matter; earning a couple thousand dollars more on my deal did. And when I raised it, no one cared enough to follow up.<br><br>What they don't seem to realize is that they didn't gain -- they lost. They traded a loyal customer, and all the business and referrals that came with him, for a short-term win. Seven years ago I was their best advocate. Today I'm writing this out of disappointment, not anger. I simply expected better from people I trusted.

  I'm now revising my review after having had a redeeming positive experience with Paul from the service center. He was transparent about the mechanics' recommendations and what was truly necessary vs could wait, but with any recommendations it's important to do independent research. I'll continue to bring my car here for service after this experience.
