  My first appointment with Dr. Macklin was not only revelatory and informative, it provided me a much awaited exhale in a sigh of relief in understanding my symptoms and the ways they have changed my life. She listened VERY intently and is very clearly well versed in her field and stays up to date on new advances . I am hopeful that I WILL get better and will have my life back. I'm filled with confidence and peace and looking forward to continuing to work with Dr. Macklin. Please (safely) run don't walk to make an appointment.

  I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Macklin at Balance & Concussion Therapy Center. I came in with a complex history of vertigo and vestibular issues and was looking for someone with true vestibular expertise and that is exactly what I found.<br><br>The evaluation was incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and professional. Dr. Macklin took the time to fully understand my history, symptoms, triggers, and concerns rather than rushing through a generic assessment. I was especially impressed by how detailed and individualized the evaluation was.<br><br>What stood out most was the honesty and clarity of the experience. Rather than automatically recommending excessive treatment, she carefully evaluated my current condition, explained everything in a way that made sense, and gave me a much better understanding of what may be contributing to my symptoms and how to manage them moving forward.<br><br>I left feeling reassured, educated, and very confident in her expertise.   This is my first time leaving a review online.<br><br>After how scary and overwhelming this whole concussion experience has been, I'm incredibly grateful I found Dr. Macklin. From the moment I walked in, her demeanor immediately made me feel calmer and reassured. She was patient, compassionate, thorough, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed -- which meant so much during such an anxiety-inducing time.<br><br>She took the time to go through everything in detail, explained symptoms and recovery in a way that was easy to understand, and truly listened to my concerns. I left feeling far more informed and less fearful about what I was experiencing.   We have seen Danit to treat two different concussions (different years) and she was phenomenal. She's fantastic with children, takes the time to really listen to the concerns and gets to know the patient, and truly cares. She's knowledgeable and highly skilled in her field, and really helped my daughter overcome her symptoms. Highly recommend her.

  I had BPPV last week, and it came out of nowhere while I was sleeping -- I simply turned my head from left to right and suddenly the room started spinning. I was terrified because I didn't know what was happening.<br>After seeing an ENT doctor, I was given a few referrals for therapy. I called several places, but most of them only offered general physical therapy and had very limited options for true vestibular therapy.<br>Then I called this place and received a call back directly from Danit Macklin. I honestly expected to speak with a receptionist, but the doctor herself called me.<br>She listened to my entire situation and even did a virtual session with me right away. She sent me a video showing exactly how to do the Epley exercise and explained everything very clearly. She also told me that if home treatment didn't work, I could come in to see her in person.<br>She spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me -- and I didn't even pay for the consultation.   I am so grateful that I was able to work with Danit. When I called I was feeling very dizzy and off balance (the effects of vestibular neuritis). Danit tailor-made an exercise plan for me which was adjusted as needed. I saw improvement immediately. Danit is kind, caring and extremely professional and knowledgeable. She helped me get back to feeling myself and to being able to do the activities of daily life. I highly, highly recommend Danit!
