Hope is without a doubt the best pilates instructor you will find. She knows body mechanics better than anyone and works with you, methodically, to tone and also to correct weaknesses you didn't even know you had. Thanks to her customized and thoughtful approach I fully regained my strength and my movement. I've been seeing her for three years and I won't go anywhere else for pilates.

Hope is the best pilates instructor! She has expert knowledge in functional movements, how to strengthen underused muscles and how to correct movements so you can move and feel your best. I really appreciate the time she took to work with me in regaining strength and flexibility after illness.

I found this place online 15 years ago when I was working in NJ. All I can say is, if you are thinking of a starting a body practice, try Activ Balance Center Pilates. Hope and Gayle are fantastic coaches. Your age, and your current condition do not matter. I know women in their 80s here and they are amazing! Your workout is tailored to you, even when you are working in a small group. I'm now 73 years young, and this is the only exercise I have ever done consistently. Core strength is absolutely essential as you age. And, oh by the way, did I mention it's FUN????

Of course, when starting any new exercise, you should check with your doctor. Here's what my doctor, a back specialist, says about Pilates:

Pilates=Good!
