Chung Pa Kendo (CPKD) is a Kendo Dojo and belongs to AUSKF/AEUSKF. The head instructor is 6 Dan Rensi Hyun Kim sensei, and he has 30+ years of Kendo experience and 18 years of teaching experience. Established in 2010, MKC moved to Englewood in Jan 2025 and merged with the Hangsan Kumdo Academy to develop into the name Chung Pa Kendo. CPKD has Youth Class, Beginner Class and Adult Class. Youth Class: Mon & Thu 7 pm - 8 pm Adult Class: Mon - Fri 8:30 pm - 10 pm, Sat 3:30 pm - 5:50 pm Kids Class: Sat 2 pm - 2:50 pm Kata Class: Wed 8 pm - 8:30 pm

Chung Pa Kendo is a wonderful place to train. It's a fantastic, clean environment for adults and children alike, emphasizing respect, focus, and fitness. Truly a hidden gem for martial arts in the area!

My 13-year-old daughter joined Chung Pa Kendo a little over a month ago, and it has been an amazing experience. The master is incredibly supportive and provides thoughtful one-on-one guidance, helping her learn and improve at a pace that works for her. The entire team is welcoming, kind, and encouraging, creating a positive and motivating environment from the very beginning. My daughter looks forward to every class, and we've already noticed her confidence and skills growing. We highly recommend Chung Pa Kendo to anyone seeking a supportive, high-quality kendo school!

My 6-year-old daughter has been practicing kendo for almost a year. The kids start by learning a few basic strikes, and over time they learn how to perform them more precisely with the right timing. They also learn discipline, respect, and how to work with their opponents.<br><br>Kendo is not only great physical exercise, but it also helps children develop mental focus and concentration. The masters work very patiently with the kids, helping them build their skills correctly while making the classes fun and enjoyable.<br><br>I highly recommend Chungpa's kids' class to any parent looking for an activity that promotes both physical and personal growth in their children.

I have been observing them for the past 7 years and they are amazing team members and individuals. Respectful, welcoming, supportive, and great energies. I myself have finally decided to join the crew recently and I love it. It's not easy and requires commitment but no pressure nor penalties. You will always have someone you can ask questions and learn from even if you are new to this. I am 42 and just started hoping that I could go on til I meet Jesus again. It's never too late to start Kendo with Chung Pa
