I went into this establishment to support a black owned business, however, I was disappointed. The atmosphere was quiet and the service was neither great nor bad. It was average. The staff was not the friendliest, yet they managed to at least greet me. I ordered a platter for just about $16 to include a small portion of curry chicken and three side dishes. I was surprised at the lack of options, Especially with an option of sliced potatoes that you would normally eat with breakfast or another meal. It was definitely not something I would consider a Caribbean selection. The very small amount of macaroni and cheese option was an additional $2.50, not to mention, a %4 additional charge to use my debit card. So, a meal that was overpriced at $16 ended up being a few cents away from $20. This was not worth the price!! Nevertheless, I rate the taste of the food as average. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this establishment.

The only reason I'm giving a 3 star review overall is because the pricing is a little deceiving, there should be clearly written somewhere or it should be explained before ordering that the Mac and cheese is an up charge. The menu says the bowl comes with 3 sides, me and my friends order Mac and cheese as one of the sides only to find out at the register that it was not part of the 3 sides ( but you can't get an extra side without another extra charge).<br><br>The food was great and the portions are relatively good compared to the price and other business around, staff was great too and super kind even after we expressed the "sneaky" add ons took us off guard.<br><br>A little torn about coming back but we will see.<br><br>What I order: Curry goat, greens, rice and peas. Mac and cheese<br>Stew Chicken rice and peas, plantain, greens.
