Dr Griffiths is a board-certified rheumatologist and chief of rheumatology at Englewood Hospital. Born in Jamaica, she grew up in Connecticut. Prior to attending medical school, she conducted research at Yale University School of Medicine. She received her MD from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, where she was the first black student to be elected study body president and where she initiated curriculum changes still in place today. She was also assistant regional director of the Student National Medical Association, Midwest Region, and represented her medical school at a national scholars leadership conference in the Netherlands.

Dr. Shernett Griffiths is absolutely wonderful and pleasant. She is very thorough in her physical examination and her questions but most importantly, she listens. I was looking for a new rheumatologist because I was dissatisfied with the one I had. I came across Dr. Griffiths during a Google search and even though her office is 17 miles away from my house, I decided to take a chance and try her out. That was the best decision I made because I am truly satisfied with her as a my rheumatologist. I explained my concerns and not only did she listen, she gave detailed explanations and I got the sense that she truly cared for me as a patient. The nursing staff and phlebotomist in her Rochelle Park office are also pleasant and personable. I highly recommend Dr. Shernett Griffiths.

I would highly recommend Dr. Griffiths for anyone who needs a doctor that really listens to your concerns and addresses them this is most important when you have a pre-existing condition like myself. Several years ago Dr. Griffiths was the link for me to an outstanding surgeon that provided me life changing surgery and I am forever grateful.
