    While the ear of an 18-month-old child was cleaned in the emergency room, bleeding occurred in the ear during the procedure. The doctor said it was an ear infection. However, when we later consulted an Ear Nose Throat specialist, it was stated that there was no infection. It was also stated that the ear may have been damaged during the procedure and that it was worked very close to the eardrum. This experience worried us a lot and we had to get a second opinion. I advise families in a similar situation to get a second expert opinion.
