  The therapist wasn't the worst, but certainly not the best and I would not go back. Because I gave one small comment about having suicidal ideations without a plan in the past, I remember her sending me to the hospital and making me waste four hours of my time there. I get that she wants to do everything by the book because that's just how she is, but I don't think that's supposed to be done unless someone clearly is in danger. Also, she claimed that she "legally had to report" something (I think it was when we made a comment about my parents spanking me?). This is why I no longer trust therapists. Was I in danger? Did I have visible evidence of being abused? Then what was the problem?!

  Very poor service. If you are not jew, you are treated with a cold shoulder. I am so disappointed! I waited a long time for them to call me back and when they called me I was told they only vive cans of food. My friend who is Jewish, was given great food including vegetables.<br>Very discriminatory as if the Jewish community never suffered discrimination. They forgot ..

  There was a great personal tragedy in my life a couple of years ago that affected me, and I was not sure what to do or where to turn to. My mother recommended JFCS after having a good experience with a mental health issue years before, and I entered therapy with one of the professionals at the services. It was a lifesaver. I was able little by little to find my way through grief and manage things (as far as I can). I don't think I would be able to even type these words if not for the good people at JFCS. Thank you!<br><br>(Special mention to Laurie who worked with me over the years)
