To start with, this is the worst hotel experience my wife and I have ever had. The staff members were rude and disrespectful, they messed up our reservation and refused to make it right. The lady I first encountered was condescending and rude. The guy who took over for her, I will say was professional and respectful but then the First Lady stepped over him and turned the conversation into a bad one all over again.

A cleaning lady entered the elevator with me, I entered first and pressed the button for my floor. I asked her what floor she was going to and I was going to press the button for her, just being nice. She then steps in front of me pushing into me and pressed the button herself. What is wrong with this staff?

The room was decent, it definitely needed a vacuum and wipe down but wasn't too bad. The main problem with the room was the A/C did not work. We have stayed in this area many times when visiting NYC, but this was our first time at the Residence Inn. Jarret at the front desk gave us an upgrade to 2 bedrooms & kitchen which was very appreciated. The room itself was clean and very large, the bathroom could do with some upgrades. The breakfast left a lot to be desired which is surprising considering Residence Inns usually have excellent breakfasts. It was very basic, no variety of fruits, no Greek yogurt, basic eggs, no vegetarian options and most disappointing, they took away the coffee station after breakfast. Juanita in the breakfast room was wonderful! The 163/164 bus to NYC is in front of the Fairfield next door, but we sat in traffic for 30-40 minutes every morning. After many years staying in NJ, next time we'll stay in Manhattan.

Dear MLC,
Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your travels to the area. We're truly glad to hear that Jarrett and Juanita made a positive impression on your visit. However, we sincerely apologize that our breakfast did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we appreciate your recommendation. We enjoyed hosting you and wish you safe and pleasant travels ahead.
Best,
Robert Fagan
General Manager
