  My family have been a loyal customer for many years, especially my aunt and uncle who were born and raised in Korea. My aunt introduced me to this store and it didn't take long to see why she loved it so much. The flavor reminded her the most of food from home and out of all the Korean food I have eaten I would agree. You can taste the quality, skill, and authenticity, which is an art. Korean ingredients are expensive, especially now in this geopolitical climate and economy, so one can only reasonably expect that for the quality, the prices will be high. Also, like many other food businesses now, Charim is socially conscious about using paper bags vs. plastic and use eco-friendly packaging, which tends to be more expensive. I am glad that this place exists and allows people to connect to delicious Korean food and culture. You can always ask the staff (they are so friendly) if you have any questions about how to best prepare the food at home; for example, some of the kimchis need to fer

The store is clean, organized, and visually appealing. It creates the expectation of an elevated culinary experience.<br><br>Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to that promise.<br><br>I have no issue paying premium prices when they're supported by exceptional quality. Luxury isn't about large portions, but about the thoughtful execution, consistency, and an experience that makes the price feel justified. Here, there was a noticeable disconnect between the pricing and what was actually delivered.<br><br>For example: the assorted jeon (modeumjeon) was overly salty. I have a feeling I know what may have gone wrong as we recently switched to a different vendor for our rice cakes.
