Recently went to a viewing for a property that is being shown through Meadowlands Realty. Upon entering the home, I was greeted by one M.R. realtor who immediately shook my hand, then my husband's, and then my (male) realtor's. However, the other "realtor" who was there went straight for my husband and our realtor and began speaking to them. This lovely "gentleman" did not attempt to make any sort of contact with me. It was awkward. It was not until I outstretched my hand and greeted him that he begrudgingly (he made no eye contact with me) shook it and blandly said, "Okay." He did not acknowledge me for the remainder of the showing, although he continued to converse here and there with my husband and realtor. I did not appreciate this complete lack of professionalism. Quite frankly, neither did my husband who asked me, "Did that one guy even try to talk to you?" once we left. We have been to other showings and I have never been treated as though I was invisible in the presence of men.
