  Dr. Moy, Nurse Matthew, and Nurse Lexi provided compassionate, empathetic, patient, and humane care to me while I was at my lowest at the ER today. Forever grateful, and will remember always as what medical providers should be like - caring humans, caring for humans.

  I'm not one much for leaving reviews but this was probably the worst ER I've ever been to. My father was admitted around 2pm we didn't leave until 10:30pm ,never received a room , I came straight from work to help my mother out and the neglect and incompetence here is simply out of this world. At one point I even had to help a nurse translate for an elderly woman in pain bc there was no one around to help her. Everyone is super nonchalant , zero sense of urgency , waited probably 4 hours to be discharged and that's only because I kept being persistent and had to make the issue aware to everybody. Everyone also seems to have an attitude or act like they are not at work , such a shame bc this used to be one of the better ER's in Bergen County. Will never be coming back again please administrators read these reviews and get it together.

  I am no stranger to ERs not being helpful due my son's ongoing illness, but this was atrocious service. We went for a burn with very large blisters and significant pain caused by a chemical reaction - was seen for less than 5 min, his concerns and explanation dismissed, and given a cream for a "bad sunburn" when it was worse the day after; they would not get him a steroid unless we readmitted (we had to get on a plane). We went to local urgent care right away at home because it had escalated so badly, got a proper diagnosis and medication and directions that eased his pain and helped it heal with minimal scarring. Note - this bill was about $200... and the HMHH ER bill for above horrid care was $2500!!!! ($1150 of which I now owe). To be fair, their customer "care" dept is lovely, but they determined they did the right thing b/c they did not see how bad his situation escalated too. I never leave reviews but maybe others visiting shore will choose another facility.
